Tommy

Tommy came into the shelter as a stray in September. Poor Tommy has had a rough start and is now looking for a quiet home where he will be given plenty of time to settle in. Tommy was involved in an accident and had to have one of his legs amputated but copes very well with three legs.

Tommy is very shy and becomes scared very easily. He will hiss to start with. However, once he has built up his trust in you he will be very loving and affectionate. He can live with children 12 years +, he can be rehomed with cats but not dogs.

Sapphire

Sapphire is a bit of a favourite here at The Mayhew and certainly lives up to her name as a total gem. At 14 years of age, this grey female, she was found as a stray.

Before coming to the Mayhew she had bilateral ear surgery to remove her ear canals, which of course, has left her deaf. Despite this she is generally in good health. Sapphire is an affectionate and extremely gentle cat that simply thrives on company and would make someone the perfect companion.

Pearl

Pearl is an 8 year old black and white female who was brought to the Home by an Animal Welfare Officer as her previous owner, an elderly lady, was hospitalized.

mayhew_pearl.jpg

She is wary of new people but with a bit of gentle coaxing will come round with some patience and TLC…chicken also helps! Pearl would be happiest in a quiet and calm home, preferably her new owner will be retired or work from home. Pearl arrived with Emma and Baby therefore can be re-homed with either cats or singularly.

Baby can be a bit nervous around new people but she certainly looses all inhibitions when chicken is involved! Baby is both gentle and affectionate once she familiarises herself with you. She needs a quiet, calm environment for her to settle into. She arrived with Emma and Pearl therefore can be re-homed with either cats or singularly.

Marzipan

Marzipan is a 5 year old female with gorgeous tortoiseshell markings. As her name suggests she is an absolute sweetie! She loves attention and rolling around having her tummy tickled.

mayhew_marzipan.jpg

She is a little nervous around young children, so she needs to go to an adult household or a family without very young children around. Marzipan can also be intimidated by other cats and would, therefore, need to go to a single-cat household.

Marzipan is playful, affectionate, happy to be handled and simply a delight, who would make a fantastic addition to your family.

If you’re interested in offering Marzipan a perfect, loving, fully-committed, lifetime home or would like to know more about her, please visit The Mayhew Animal Home during viewing times.
