Shyly
Shyly is a spayed 5 year old black and white female household cat (although she goes out during the day). She is house-trained and is best suited to a home without children.

Polly
Meet Polly, she is a gorgeous 2 year old tabby. She is a little timid so would suit an adult only home with no children or other animals. She is afraid of other cats so would prefer a home on her own. She loves a snuggle on your lap, and gives kisses and hugs.
She adores card board boxes, and shreds them to peices while playing with them. Polly plays a great game of peek-a-boo! She sleeps either on my chair or high on her cat scratcher, so she can catch the sun.

Misty and Tigger
Misty and Tigger are both very affectionate cats. Misty can be a little hand shy at first but likes the company. She will eventually relax and enjoy the attention but is not a lap cat.
Tigger is the more confident of the two, enjoying lots of attention and even dribbling when really happy. He does not like being carried though. Other than this they will make great family pets for almost any home.

Zac and Smokey
Zac is a 7 year old domestic short-haired male. He is a very friendly cat who enjoys company and a fuss. He can be a little nervous at first but soon relaxes and enjoys attention. He is not much of a lap cat but still enjoys being around people. He will need to be rehomed with his best pal Smokey.
Smokey is a 10 year old domestic short-haired male. He is a lovely cat, who enjoys lots of company, whether it is human or feline. Although nervous in new situations he does relax and can be very affectionate and settle on your lap. He is the more confident of the two but can still panic if picked up to quickly, due to this families with young children are not suitable.

Candy
Candy is a 7 year old domestic short-haired black and white female. She is still a nervous cat who may hiss at you at first as a defense. She only needs time to settle down. With an experienced owner who can give her the right input Candy can settle down and learn to trust people again.
She will let you pick her up and handle her but she is still tense. This is a good start and shows she has a way to go yet but lots of potential. She is looking for a home with adults only.

Lukey
Lukey was a stray before he came to the Mayhew and he is adjusting well to his new life. Lukey is a 2-year-old black male who would be happiest in an adult household where he can get lots of attention.
He is especially enjoying all the food! He enjoys strokes, especially on his head and chin, though if his food bowl is full that may take precedence.

Vander
Vander is a beautiful 2 year old Tabby female who was found as a stray and brought to The Mayhew along with her young kitten. Vander is exceptionally friendly, affectionate and chatty when she wants to be, but this is very much on her own terms and she will let you know with a little swipe if she decides she has had enough. Because of this we would not re-home her to a family with young children.
Vander is an independent and confident young female who is looking for a home where her lively yet somewhat unpredictable nature can be appreciated and respected.
