Minty
Meet Minty, he is a 2 year old neutered male domestic long-haired grey and white cat that has been with us since February 2007, as his owners couldn’t cope with him. Handsome Minty is full of character and has a very ‘unique’ personality. On arrival his previous owner said Minty was vicious and had no endearing points!
He has since been assessed and he has proved to be a bit of a loner sometimes short tempered and a bit on the grumpy side but he is in no way vicious. Minty will allow you to stroke and make a fuss of him for short periods on his terms but he can be a bit unpredictable!
With patient owners that are willing to offer our independent lad lots of TLC and the right environment, Minty would make a great companion. He is litter trained, not good with his feline cousins and is seeking a quiet home with sensible experienced cat owners and where any children are 16+.

Twinkle is a 7 year old British Blue cross. She came in due to her owner emigrating. She is a friendly girl who could live with other cats and older children.

Dynamite (spayed black female) and TNT (neutered tabby male) are a pair of kittens who are looking for a new home together. These kittens have been single kittens and not socialised so we put them together to play and they are now friendly kitti-cats more friendly towards humans!
Ambrosias and Ludo
Ambrosias and Ludo came in for rehoming when their owner was unable to cope (they’re semi-feral) aged 5 months old. Ambrosias (domestic long hair - black) and Ludo (domestic short hair - black) are litter trained and we’re looking to rehome them seperately.

They can be rehomed with children over 8 years +. They must be rehomed with another cat but cannot live with dogs. They are both very shy and wary of people, looking for a quiet home with plenty of time to settle and gentle encouragement.

Minxy is a black and white male aged 1-2 years old. He is a funny character, both amusing and slightly strange. We rehomed him in early September, but he was brought back after a couple of weeks because he kept going for his new person’s legs.
We were aware that he had done that in his previous home where he had been kept as an indoor cat and became bored and mischievous, but his new owner felt that she could not cope with his behaviour.
We put him in a room to see what he would do, and sure enough, several people had their legs lightly mangled as they were trying to leave the room. He loves people really and he just doesn’t want them to leave! We then put him up in the Cattery and started to socialise him with two young ginger toms that lived next door to him and Minxy was enthralled by them; he would follow them round chirruping and cooing it almost seemed as though he had never met another cat before. He now loves ginger cats the best and if there are none in the Home, he makes do with the ones that have a bit of ginger in them!
Minxy would greatly benefit from living with a calm, chilled, affable, preferably ginger cat in an experienced, adult household with people who have dealt with this kind of problem in the past. Or he could live with someone who has a penchant for wearing their riding boots or wellies indoors.
Once settled, he should be introduced to the garden; he loves his outside space here and immediately learned how to use his cat flap. He is a playful young chap who really does enjoy interacting with his people he just needs to be taught how to do it nicely.

Diego is a black and white male aged just 8 months old and was brought to The Mayhew after his previous owners were left without a home themselves. He has not yet had access to the outdoors but we would want him to have the opportunity to explore the outdoors in his new home.
Diego is taking a while to adjust to his new surroundings and will need a confident and patient individual to help bring him out of his shell. He would need to go to a home without young children or other pets.

Nala are two 7 month old kittens. Nala is a domestic short-haired tortoiseshell and white and Simba is a domestic short/long-haired tabby. These two lovely girls need to be homed together.
They were found as strays, and were not claimed from the vets, so came to MGFT Animal Sanctuary, Church Knowle. They are okay with other cats, dogs and children.
