Jackson
Jackson is a 2-3 year old black and white male. We thought Jackson might like to pal up with his neighbour, Humphrey seeing as they have been taking it in turns to use their shared yard for the past few weeks, but after a few promising sniffs, they had a proper Boy Fight, so that was the end of that idea.

Jackson is FIV positive and will need to go to an indoor home, but as he is a young cat in the prime of life, we would particularly like him to have as much space as possible. Brought in as a stray, he is used to being outside, so a roof terrace or enclosed courtyard would be ideal for him.
Another option would be for him to have the run of a house that is too close for comfort to a dangerous road. He is a young cat, so a couple of teenage children in the home to help keep him entertained would be a good idea.

Ivan
Ivan is a 1-2 year old black and white male, he may not be the luckiest cat in the world, having already suffered a series of mishaps in his short life, but he is certainly one of the loveliest. He is a sweet-natured, gentle boy who understandably has a slightly wary edge and he gets anxious when there is a lot of noise and movement around him.

Once he is confident with his new people he will make a charming and amusing companion. Ivan needs to live in a fairly calm, slow-moving kind of home, although he could live with one or two children aged 10 years +. He must have access to a secure garden once settled.

Tipsy
Tipsy is a ginger and white 3 year old male. One-eyed cats….they are like London buses round here at the moment. Tipsy lost his left eye just a couple of weeks before he was brought in to Battersea, so the combination of a strange environment and having to get used to his visual impairment has left him feeling a little bit wary and strange.

He just likes to sit quietly on his shelf and think his thoughts. He is a good-natured boy who is an adventurer when he’s out and about and a purry lap cat when he is in the house. He is also particularly susceptible to a good sniff of catnip.
Tipsy can live with children aged 10 years old + and must have access to a garden once he is settled. He should be the only cat in his new household.

Petal
Petal is a 1-2 year old tabby and white female in need of a stable and secure home, as she has had a most unsettling time during the last couple of months. She is not too happy in her pen at the moment, but in her last home, she was a happy and sociable little lap cat, even though her owner only had her for a month.

Petal should live in an experienced, mature, home with people who are not anticipating any major lifestyle changes. She can get somewhat stressed and anxious at times, so would not be suitable to live with children either now or in the future. She would be quite happy to be left for a working day as long as she has garden access once settled.

Pegasus
Portly Pegasus looks (and sounds) more like a Siamese cross Persian than a mythological winged horse. This handsome 3 year old fellow shows very little sign of his Persian parent, but that’s what it says on the Pet Passport that he needed when he was brought over from Singapore.

Pegasus has the following rehoming requirements, he needs experienced owners of Oriental breeds. He must live with people who enjoy having an extremely vocal cat.
Neighbours may have to be considered; therefore he should live in a house rather than a flat. Having stairs would also be beneficial for his weight loss programme.
He must live out of London or go to people with a very secure garden and should not be left for a working day; he is very sociable and likes being with people. He can live with children aged 8 years old +.

Princess
Princess is blue tortoiseshell persian female aged 10 years +. Princess is a fab old girl; a real old-fashioned trooper who was apparently found wandering in a Kentish country lane. She has had a lengthy bout of cat flu since her arrival in Battersea, but she is much better now, although her new owners are going to have to bathe her eyes on a regular basis.

However, this should not prove to be too much of a problem as Princess adores to be made a fuss of. Stroking, grooming, eye-bathing, tickling, lap-sitting, kissing and cuddling are all an essential part of this exceptionally sociable cat’s daily routine.
Princess should go to experienced owners who are aware of a Persian cat ’s grooming requirements. She would suit a mature household where her people are around for most of the day. As she gets jealous if other cats are given any attention, she must be the only cat in her new home.
If you could provide Princess with a soft velvet cushion and maximum amounts of attention and tender loving care, please contact us today. Prospective owners will need to speak to a Battersea vet about her eyes.

Gizmo
We seem to have been seeing quite a few stout parties here in Battersea recently, and the latest super sized model is Gizmo, a black and white female aged between 8-9 years old. Weighing in at 8.4 kilos, she is about twice the size that she should be. Gizmo came in because she was fighting with the other cat in her previous home, and she does sometimes have her little hissy fits when she sees all the other cats around her in the cattery.

For the most part, she generous with her affections and likes being stroked and groomed just about as much as she likes chicken. Gizmo could live with teenage children and needs a home with some stairs and also a garden. Her new people must be committed to continuing with her weight loss programme and must be strong-minded enough not to give in to her pleading looks. Keep her out of the way at meal times!
If you think that you can help Gizmo, please come in to Battersea to register or leave a message for Ros on 020 7627 9234 or email: r.davies@dogshome.org, quoting 07/50104. Prospective owners will need to speak to a Battersea vet prior to rehoming.
Please note that there are many cats in the Home and in our satellite sites of all ages, shapes and sizes and we are only able to feature a small selection on the web.

Humphrey
Humphrey is a 3-5 year old black and white long-haired male who has been straying for quite some time and had been going into people’s houses through the cat flaps and stealing the resident cat’s food. He seems very happy to have been brought in to Battersea and given regular meals, a warm bed and lots of grooming and strokes.

Unfortunately, he has tested positive for FIV and will therefore require an indoor home from now on. As he is used to having his freedom, we are looking for somewhere that has a secure roof terrace or very large balcony so that he can take the air. As he is young and sociable, we would also like him to go to a home where he has company most days and someone to play with. He can live with children aged ten and above.
If you think that you can make Humphrey happy, please come in to Battersea to register or leave a message for Ros on 020 7627 9234 or email: r.davies@dogshome.org, quoting reference 07/90038.
NB. There are one of two other FIV+ cats currently in the Home, also looking for good homes.

Poppy
Meet Poppy, a 2 year old tabby and white female. In her previous home, Poppy managed to get her back leg caught up in the blinds and then fell out of the window, resulting in such a bad back injury that she had to have her tail amputated. All this happened ten months ago and she has made a good recovery, although she can be a little sensitive on her back.

Very wide-eyed and trembly when she arrived, Poppy is becoming more confident by the day, although she still has some way to go before she can collect her Bravery Certificate. Plump Poppy needs a calm adult home, where her new people will help her shed a little bit of her excess weight once she has adjusted to her new surroundings. She should have access to a garden or secure roof terrace.
If you think Poppy is the one for you, please come in to Battersea to register or leave a message for Ros on 020 7627 9234 or email: r.davies@dogshome.org.

Flynn
Big, chunky Flynn is a 9 year old white and black male who came in to Battersea because his elderly owner had passed away. He is used to a quiet life and is said not to like shouting and loud noises, although he can be quite a chatterbox himself when he wants food or a cuddle. And watch out if you are partial to the odd tin of tuna - Flynn will stop at nothing to try to get at it before you can.

This companionable fellow will need to go to an indoor home, as he has tested positive for FIV. A roof terrace or a balcony would be particularly nice for him, as he has been used to going outside previously, but he is such a laid back cat that he would be happy anywhere as long as he has cuddles, warmth, food and something interesting to look at out of the window.
If you think you could offer Flynn a home, please come in to Battersea to register or leave a message for Ros on 020 7627 9234 or email: r.davies@dogshome.org.
