Sparky
Sparky is an 8 year old white and black male. Chunky Sparky is not best pleased to be surrounded by other cats during his temporary stay in Battersea.
He doesn’t like to share his space or his people and will make sure that everyone knows when he is displeased. He is also a chatty and affectionate lap cat who loves to interact with people, although he can get a little bit overexcited at times, particularly if there is cat nip around.
Sparky needs a stress-free, mature home with a garden in an area with a low cat population in order to avoid any conflicts with the neighbours and their cats. Ideally, he should have some stairs to puff up and down so that he can lose some of that tummy and his new people must not give in to his demands to be fed. Prospective owners will need to speak to a Battersea vet prior to rehoming.

Tigs is a 14 year old black and white female. Poor old Tigs has ended up at Battersea after 14 years because her owners are moving abroad.
She has a shy nature and can be wary of strangers so understandably this whole experience has left her slightly shell shocked. She is now residing in one of our penthouse suites and is all the more comfortable and relaxed for it. Once Tigs has got to know you she adores a gentle fuss and purrs very loudly.
She is looking for a calm adult household with no other pets and patient new owners who won’t rush her and allow her time to settle. Tigs would ideally love to have a garden to potter around in, although she would probably be quite content without one as long as she has someone to love her and brush her hair.
Prospective owners will need to speak to a Battersea vet prior to rehoming. If you feel you are able to offer Tigs the home she needs please call Ros on 020 7627 9234 or email r.davies@dogshome.org

Tikka is a 4 year old black female who was brought in to Battersea by her owner as she had begun to mess in the house. Cats can sometimes do this due to behaviour or medical problems, Tikka is an anxious cat so we feel this was the reason she was messing in the house.
Tikka originally came from another rescue centre 4 years ago, her owner had died so apart from her most recent home we have limited history. Tikka will need experienced and patient owners as it will take her time to settle and relax in her new home.
Tikka needs a quiet home without children or other pets, she is timid and will not cope in a busy environment. Once she knows you Tikka is friendly but only tolerates attention on her terms so if your looking for a lapcat companion then Tikka will not be the cat for you.
Tikka will need access to a garden, she has not used a catflap in her previous home but most cats do not take long to adapt. Tikka is independent and enjoys spending time outside sun bathing and hunting so we are looking for a home in an area where there are open spaces for these activities.
If you feel you can offer Tikka the home she needs please contact the rehoming team at Old Windsor on 01784 494443.

Nik Nac is a black male aged approximately 4 years old. He was brought in to Battersea as a stray so we have no history about this handsome boy.
Nik Nac has not settled well in the cattery environment, he is nervous and confused so can be defensive in his pen. Due to the behaviour he has shown in this environment he will need patient owners who will not expect too much too soon.
Experienced owners are needed for this boy as he will need understanding as he will take time to settle and trust new people. Unknown if used a catflap before or if lived with other animals, he will need a quiet home without children. Nik Nac could be left on his own while his owners are at work.
Nik Nac will hopefully be a different cat away from the cattery environment with people he trusts but owners must understand he may always be a timid cat. If you feel you can offer him the home he needs please contact the rehoming team at Old Windsor on 01784 494443.

Mimi is a tortoiseshell female aged 2-3 years old. Mimi originally came in to Battersea back in 2005 as a kitten, she was then rehomed but sadly returned to Battersea by her owners as Mimi did not like the new baby and her owners felt they could no longer trust her especially as the baby would soon be crawling.
Tortoiseshell cats can be feisty and new owners must be prepared for this side of Mimi’s nature. Mimi is a bit of a independent and grumpy girl who tolerates attention on her terms only, if you are looking for a lapcat companion then she is not the cat for you! Ideally we are looking for experienced owners who have owned similar natured cats so will understand exactly what they are going home with.
Mimi needs a quiet home without other pets and children, she will not cope in a busy environment. Has used a catflap in the past and will need access to a garden, Mimi was not a hunter in her previous home. Can be left alone while owners are at work, Mimi is independent and will happily nap or potter about in the garden.
If you feel you can offer Mimi a new home please contact the rehoming team at Old Windsor on 01784 494443.

Jessie is a black and white female aged 1-2 years old. She came in to Battersea as she was not coping well with the arrival of a baby, Jessie is very nervous and will need patient, dedicated and understanding new owners who will not expect too much too soon. Jessie needs a quiet home without children, she will not cope in a busy household.
Jessie is fearful and will need time and space to settle in her new home, it may take her a while to trust new people and feel relaxed enough to come out of hiding. Ideally Jessie needs experienced owners who have dealt with nervous or semi-feral cats before so will understand exactly what they are going home with.
Jessie has lived with other cats and dogs in the past, she could possibly live with other pets again but must be a right match to benefit both Jessie and the other animals. Jessie is used to going outside, she has used a catflap before, wasn’t a hunter and didn’t leave her garden.
Jessie is a true rescue cat who will be a rewarding challenge so if you think you could offer her the home she needs please contact the rehoming team at Old Windsor on 01784 494443.

Lucky is a tortoiseshell female aged 3-4 years old. She was brought in to Battersea as her owner worked long hours and often had to go away with work so she made the hard decision to bring Lucky to Battersea. Lucky has lived a quiet and sheltered life up until now, she is finding cattery life very stressful and will need patient and understanding people to take her on.

Lucky has always been kept as an indoor cat, she therefore has not been exposed to many things and can get anxious or defensive at times. We are looking for experienced cat owners, ideally used to rescue cats, feral cats or fiery natured cats. Tortoiseshell cats can be feisty and Lucky is no exception, she likes to be boss and will let you know when she wants a fuss or not.
Lucky is looking for a quiet home with no other pets or children, she will need time to settle and build a bond before she is allowed access to outside. Lucky is an active cat who seems to enjoy hunting games, we hope once she starts to go outside she will relax and become more of a content cat. Unfortunately she can only live in a quiet location that is not near any busy roads, being an indoor cat in the past she has never been around vehicles.
In her previous home Lucky was described as a independent, social yet anxious cat who did enjoy being stroked on her terms. While in catteries and unsettled you will not see Lucky’s true nature but if you are looking for a loving lapcat then this is not the cat for you. If you feel you can offer this little firecracker a home please contact the rehoming team at Old Windsor on 01784 494443 or come in to one of our centres for a registration interview.
