Roxy and Billy – 3 year and 6 week old female and male Tabby Domestic Short-Haired Cats

Roxy is a 3 year old female tabby cat. She came into RSPCA along with her 6 week old male kitten Billy after being signed over to an inspector by a member of the public who had more cats than he could cope with. Roxy and Billy are both beautiful cats and are very friendly and affectionate. Roxy has been flea treated, wormed, micro-chipped, neutered and started on her vaccinations. Billy has been flea treated and wormed.
He will be vaccianted and micro-chipped once old enough and a neutering voucher to cover the full cost will be provided to his new owner. We would love to re-home Roxy and Billy together however we will also take enquiries for them seperately.

Cleo – 2 year old female Tabby and White Domestic Short-Haired Cat

Cleo is 2 years old female Tabby and White cat who came into RSPCA care after being handed into a local vets suffering from conjuntivitus and an ear infection. Every effort has been made to trace her owners with no luck and so she is now looking for a new home.

She has had treatment for her infection and they have now cleared up, although her ears still look a little yellow from the drops. Cleo is a lovely affectioante cat who is estimated to be 2 years old. She is currently fostered in Macclesfield.

*Update from foster family*

She has a very sweet temperament-she is on ear drops temporarily and always forgives me straight away for putting them in. All she wants is lots of love, fussing and food! She follows me around the house and sits on my knee whenever I sit down and instantly starts purring. Shes also very playful and also enjoys having a nosy out of the window to see what’s going on outside. She loves meeting new people and getting more fuss. She is just everything you could wish for from a new pet and it’s a great feeling when you come home and she is right up to you, telling you off for going out!

Whiskars – 1 year old male Black Domestic Short-Haired Cat

Whiskers is a 1 year old male Black cat who came into RSPCA after being brought into a vet as a stray. He has been neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and started on his vacciantions. He is currently fostered in Buxton.

*Update from foster family*

As you will see Whiskars is a great good looking chap. He just loves attention and will greet you very happily whenever he sees you, purring rather loudly and bouncing around the room of happiness,
or putting his paws on you. He likes being cuddled and stroked, especially on his tummy, and he will stretch himself so you can pet him even better. In return, he is likely to lick you at times and give you plenty of love back. Once he gets to know you, he is more than happy to sit on your lap.

He likes being with people and being the centre of attention. Whiskers is very easy and friendly with people, but is – as is to be expected – a bit shy at the beginning and will hide away when there is too much noise or too many strangers in the house. In spite of that, he is quietly confident, very curious and wants to know what is behind every door and get to know all people, so after a little while he will pop out again and make friends.

He tolerates our own cats, but doesn’t seem to be too keen on their presence. Furthermore, he does not mind being picked up, but not for prolonged periods of time and doesn’t really like being carried around. As a result, it is probably best if he would go to a quiet home with no dominant pets and gentle or slightly older children.

Daisy – 3 year old female Tabby and White Domestic Short-Haired Cat

Daisy is a 3 year old female Tabby and White cat who came into RSPCA care along with 3 other cats. Their previous owner was an alcoholic and when she was evicted from her home she left the cats behind. Daisy is quite confident and enjoys being stroked. She is quite vocal and like to ‘talk’ to you. Daisy has been flea treated, wormed, neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped.

She is currently fostered in Congleton. She is quite keen to explore the outside world although this is not permitted in foster care so she would benefit from a home where she can be allowed outdoors. Daisy is a playful little thing and very friendly. She would make a wonderful lap cat as she enjoys nothing more then curling up on her fosterer’s knee and falling asleep. Daisy is currently fostered with Poppy but they do not seem overly close and so they are fine to be re-homed seperately. As she has lived in a multi-cat household previously she will be fine being re-homed with existing cats.

*Update from foster family*

Daisy is coming on well at her foster home and is now starting to relax. She is happy for her fosterer to pick her up and stroke her but she is not an overly cuddly cat. Daisy can be a little timid and is quite scared of strangers so any adopter would have to be prepared to give her the time she needs to settle in and be comfortable. Daisy enjoys being groomed and will happily let you brush her for hours. Daisy is a little wary of the fosterers grandchildren and so would be best re-homed with older, quieter children.

Ralph – 3 year old male Black and White Domestic Long-Haired Cat

Ralph is a 3 year old male Black and White cat who came into RSPCA care after being involved in a road accident that dislocated his hip. Due to this injury he needs to have several weeks cage rest
before being allowed to free roam. He has been flea treated, wormed, neutered, micro-chipped and started on vaccinations.

He is currently fostered in Hartford.

*Update from foster family*

Ralph is cute male cat and is aprox 3 years old He was a little shy when he arrived but with the help of a treat came out just a few minuets later. The vet thought Ralph had been involved in a road traffic accident as he had a dislocated hip when he came in, He is now recovering well and loves being stroked although is a little tender in places. He is starting to exercise now as he has been in cage rest for about 2 weeks but is doing very well.
He is a real friendly cat and gets on well with our 4 year old son , He does not seem keen on other cats or dogs and hisses at our 2 cats (and himself in the mirror) so may take time to come round to other animals.

He really is a lovely cat with beautiful markings a really cute face, With time he will make a very affectionate pet, He is eating well and used the litter tray from day one.

Pixie – 6 year old female Black Domestic Short-Haired Cat

Pixie is approx 6 years old and came into RSPCA as a stray who was found underweight and not in a very good condition. After being taken into the vets it was discovered that she had a mouth infection and was full of worms.

She was immediately treated for the worms and this appears to have completely cleared up. She is due for a dental this week and may need some teeth removing so please look for an update.

Due to the condition of her teeth it is difficult to give an exact age but the vet estimates her to be a young adult.

Pixie is described as being a friendly cat. Pixie is currently fostered in Congleton.

*Update from foster family*

Pixie is a lovely cat who enjoys being handled and stroked. She likes being brushed and combed and purrs all the time. She is a quiet cat and needs time to get used to new surroundings
but she wasn’t afraid of me at all. She likes to sleep on top of the sofa next to me or on the window sill when I am away. She eats well, but only small amounts. Pixie uses the litter tray without fuss.

Sweep – 3 year old male Black Domestic Short-Haired Cat

Sweep is a 3 year old black domestic short-haired male who came into RSPCA care on 06/02/09 and is currently being fostered in Buxton. He came into RSPCA care with 3 other cats after his owner
became very ill and had to go into a hospice.

sweep

Sweep has been neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, wormed and started on his vaccinations.
Most of his teeth have been removed previously but his gums are now healthy and this does not cause him any problems.

cat

Sweep is a lovely young boy who would settle well into most household’s with ease.

Here is what his fosterer had to say about him: Sweep is a black cat with a dense silky coat and yellow eyes.

cat

He is a very friendly and confident cat who is happy being cuddled  and will readily sit on your knee.

He is lively and playful and loves chasing around the house. He eats well, loves all food, uses the litter tray without problems and is easy to care for.

He would settle well with other cats unless they were nervous, in which case Sweep may be a little dominating because of his confidence and energy. He has not had any contact yet with dogs and young children  but I feel he would settle into almost any household – he settled in with us right away, making himself at home and taking his first afternoon nap on the bed in the main bedroom.

Lucy – 6 year old female White Domestic Short-Haired Cat

Lucy is a 6 year old white domestic short-haired female, she came into RSPCA care on 04/03/09 and is currently being fostered in Congleton. Came into RSPCA care after being handed into a vet surgery as a stray. Lucy was micro-chipped and every effort was made to trace her owners with no luck.

lucy

It is believed they may have emigrated leaving poor Lucy behind and she is now looking for her new home. Lucy has been neutered, micro-chipped, flea and worm treated and started on her vaccinations.

Lucy is a beautiful snow white cat and has stunning green/yellow eyes.

lucy

Here is what her fosterer had to say: Lucy has settled in well to her foster home. She is a very friendly and vocal cat who doesn’t mind being picked up and loves to be stroked. She loves lying in the sun and getting the “Z”s in. She uses her litter tray well. Lucy does not get along with other cats and so needs to be re-homed as an only cat

Tom – 2 year old male Black and White Domestic Short-Haired Cat

Tom is a 2 year old black and white male who was brought into RSPCA care with Henry after his owner sadly passed away. He has been flea treated, wormed, neutered, micro-chipped and started on his vaccinations.

tom

This is what his fosterer had to say:

Tom has settled in well since he came to me on 5th Feb and enjoys his food and his sleep, like any normal cat he seeks out the warmest place to sleep next to the radiator in my kitchen is his favourite spot. He enjoys playing and adores to be brushed and combed. He does fuss around your legs when it is food time and generally likes a fuss on his terms. He is still gaining his confidence in coming into the family living room in the evenings to join us but I am sure he will come out of his shell more as he gets used to us. He does get jumpy when there are sudden loud noises in or outside the house.
Tom is a lovely cat with a calm temperament and has a quiet meow sometimes you can hardly hear him. He would suit a quiet household with someone who can give him lots of attention and fuss when he needs it. I think he will make a lovely pet for some lucky person

tom

Henry who used to live with Tom previously has now been re-homed and although Tom is missing him he is also becoming more confident now he is alone as Henry was quite dominating. He is much more affectionate now and often sits on his fosterer’s knee for a cuddle. I am sure that Tom will continue coming out of his shell and will make a wonderful loving pet

Update 24/2/09,

Tom has come out of his shell more now and is getting more confident about being fussed, he voluntarily comes into the living room in the evenings now and gets on your knee he loves to have a fuss and enjoys being brushed and combed too. He is quite playful and chases around the house with the cat toys I have. He is a lovely gentle boy who enjoys his food and loves his sleep too.  He has been putting weight on steadily since being with me as he was underweight when he came in to the RSPCA care but he seems to be ok now.
The vet said he is doing well and is a good size for his age I personally think he would suit a quiet home with older children and someone who has the time to give him the fuss and attention he craves.
He will give you love back in bucketfuls he truly is a lovely cat and deserves a loving new permanent home. “
