Bubba – 3 year old male Black and White Domestic Short-Haired Cat
Hi, I’m called Bubba, Black and White friendly boy, approximately 3 years old. I was signed over to the RSPCA by an Inspector because I was neglected and abandoned by my previous owner. I have had an operation to help my sight. I inherited a congenital condition called entropian which affected the lower lids of both my eyes. I needed this operation to ease the discomfort and am so much happier and better now.
Everybody says what a lovely cat I am. I love cuddles and attention, being groomed, sitting on your lap for hours and playing with toys. I am having a lovely time in foster care at the moment, and my foster family say I am a fantastic cat. I have been with them since early January and they say I am no trouble at all. I eat well, use my litter tray, come for lap cuddles, purr, love to play and use a scratching post. What more could you ask for? I am such a placid boy that I will get along with almost anyone!
Sparkle – 14 month old female Tortoiseshell and White Domestic Short-Haired Cat
Sparkle is a Tortoishell and White Female Approx 14 months. Sparkle was found as a stray in early November and gave birth to 6 beautiful kittens whilst in foster care.
She has been a brilliant mother and now deserves a loving home where she will be loved and cared for. She will be spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. and has tested negative for FIV/FELV.
Tommy – 4-5 year old male Tabby Domestic Short-Haired Cat
Tommy is a beautiful large brown tabby with a rather sore face. We think he’s around 4-5 years old. He’s currently undergoing veterinary treatment to heal his face and is coping with it and the collar remarkably well.
A very affectionate lad who we hope we can get into a home as soon as possible. Please see the video to see how loveable this chap is.
Lola – 2 year old female Black and White Domestic Short-Haired Cat
Lola is a beautiful friendly Black and White young girl probably around 2 years old. We really really struggle to rehome black and white cats as people tend to choose the more unusual coloured cats.
Lola is very affectionate and we really hope she won’t be overlooked just because of her colouring. Hopefully her rather blingy collar will get her noticed!
Simba – 7 year old male Tabby and White Domestic Long-Haired Cat
Simba is a 7 year old beautiful long haired brown and white tabby cat. He’s a really fussy boy even though he’s not particularly fond of being picked up.
Simba thoroughly enjoys some love and fuss and would really like a new home to call his own.
Scruffy – 6 year old male Tabby and White Domestic Long-Haired Cat
Scruffy is an adorable brown tabby and white moggy who is around 6 years old. Quite a lovely fella who looked very cute laid in the arms of Alistair the kennel owner.
He was a little camera shy but did enjoy a little cuddle despite only just arriving and feeling a little frightened.
Socks – 3 year old female Black Domestic Short-Haired Cat
Socks was found as a stray and had to be caught in a trap. She’s not very used to humans and being handled but we really hope we can find someone prepared to give this cute little cat a second chance at life. Within a couple of weeks she’s already allowing herself to be handled but still prefers to hide in her bed. We aren’t even sure if Socks is a female or male yet!!
As she’s a very small cat we are guessing she either isn’t yet full grown or just very small as she’s been fending for herself whilst growing up. Either way, we think she is quite young and has the potential to becoming a fully fledged pet given an owner willing to invest plenty of time and patience in showing her that humans don’t hurt and are actually quite nice to live with.
Tigger – 10 year old female Black and White Domestic Short-Haired Cat
Tigger is a female Black and White cat who is 10 years old approx. Tigger was recently sadly given up by her owner under doctor’s order when her asthma became too severe. She is used to living indoors and a bit of a couch potato so she will need to go on a special diet as she is a little overweight!
She is housetrained, and had a clean bill of health by our vet. She was a little scared when she first arrived, but she is proving to be a friendly girl the more we get to know her.
Elsie – 6 year old female Tabby and White Domestic Short-Haired Cat
Elsie is a Tabby and White female of around 6 years. She is a very timid little girl who is finding the kennels a very scary place to be.
Elsie hid in the corner, behind her bed but despite being very scared she accepted being stroked quite happily so she obviously is a very friendly girl but just isn’t coping with her new environment. Elsie needs to be in a home as soon as possible.
She came in with Gizmo so it would be lovely if they could be rehomed together. Please contact Ruskington Kennels to arrange to meet Elsie on 01526 833977.

Whiskers is a very a handsome boy who is about 4 years old. Despite all the fuss in the room photographing all the new moggies, he slept throughout everything.
He was in such a deep sleep when we opened his door the poor lad was quite bleary eyed for a while and quite amusingly, had his tongue poking out bless him!! Whiskers has been named as he has a black face with amazingly long pure white whiskers.
