Bella
Bella is a very shy 2 1/2 year old calico female, who was sadly returned to The Mayhew after the owner was unable to cope. Bella was adopted as a young feral kitten and although she has never shown signs of aggression she is still very nervous of human contact and will therefore need a patient individual who can give her the time and patience she needs.

When she is startled or something in particular has scared her she has a habit of toileting, so her new owners will need to be prepared to work through this issue with her. Bella has lived with other cats in the past and often relied on them for confidence. Therefore, ideally, she will go to a new home with existing cats.

Lucy
Lucy is an adult domestic short-haired tortoiseshell female. Lucy’s previous family had serious learning difficulties and were unable to provide her with a safe permanent home. She is looking for any loving home. Lucy is a friendly and affectionate cat who has lived with children. Lucy is very “spitty” with other cats, and should be rehomed as an only cat.
All our cats are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and are re-homed with six week's insurance cover. For further details regarding adopting an animal from West Riding Cat Rescue please telephone 0113 256 5300 or email westridingcatrescue@yahoo.com. Visit our Website No comments
Toffee
Toffee is a 6 year old tortoiseshell female who likes a quiet life. Her dream afternoon would be to curl up on the sofa with her person and watch a classic Hollywood weepie (Bette Davis is her favourite) preferably one that has ad breaks so that she could benefit from any nibbles that might come out of the fridge in those precious four minutes.

However, these indulgences can and do take their toll on the figure and our Toffee could do with fewer sofa snacks and more playing in the garden and running up and down stairs.
This is Toffee’s second stay in Battersea; she originally came to us in 2002 because her owner had had a baby, and is now back because of allergies. We would hope that her next home will be for keeps.
Toffee is looking for a calm, mature, adult home with one or two people who will be strong and unyielding when it comes to treats. She can be a touch temperamental at times, so she needs to live with people who know when their cat has had enough attention and will leave herbe at those times. She should have access to a garden once settled and preferably to some stairs to help her lose weight. She should be the only pet in her new home.
If you think that you can offer Toffee a permanent home, please contact the rehoming team at Old Windsor on 01784 494443, apply online or email bow.rehomers@dogshome.org.

Penny
Penny is an older tortoiseshell female who was rehomed from the Sanctuary several years ago and was thoroughly spoiled. Now sadly her elderly owner is in hospital and Penny has returned. She is a senior housecat (though she likes to go out in the day), very clean, likes to sleep on the bed and loves her food – she will let you know when she’s hungry!
Penny has a medical condition which requires daily treatment but she will repay her new owner with so much affection. A real sweetie!
