Jungle Monkey – 1 year old male Black Domestic Short-Haired Cat
Jungle Monkey (nick named by the nurses as he just loves to climb) is a 1 year old, black, male domestic short hair cat. Jungle monkey came in via a our vets, it was a big cruelty case they were involved in and unfortunately all the shelters were full and we offered our services as he was going stir crazy in the vet’s.
Jungle Monkey is a real cuddle pot, he is not bothered by children or dogs, unfortunately Jungle Monkey has FIV and will have to be a indoor cat, this cannot transfer to humans, and therefore can only be homed as a only cat or live with other FIV cats. Maddie – 4 year old female Tortoiseshell Domestic Short-Haired Cat
Maddie is a 4 year old female, domestic short hair tortoise shell. Maddie came in to us as her owners said that she was aggressive and a horrible cat, he wanted to put her down but the vet’s convinced him to hand her over to the rescue.
Since Maddie has been with us she has been quite reserved, but certainly not aggressive she will let you stroke her and pick her up, but she is not a cuddle monster and very much in to affection on her terms, I feel her previous owners were inexperienced and forced themselves upon her causing her to feel trapped and panic, it is the only way that we can explain the behaviour that they experienced, because we have just not seen it.
Maddie is fully vaccinated, micro chipped and spayed, we feel she needs a home with no children, dogs or other cats and a person that can give her the time to trust you and who wants a cat that is quite independent but enjoys affection from time to time. Sammi and Stevie are two lovely 3 month old male Black Domestic Short-Haired Cats.
Sammi
A bit more reserved than some of his brothers, Sammi is playful and does like to be stroked, but only really seeks it out when he gets to know you, or of course if you’re bringing him food! Sammi seems happiest when he can climb and explore: he likes playing with his brothers, but he’s equally not worried about heading off to find adventure on his own.
Stevie
Stevie is inquisitive and friendly and is always the first of his brothers to play and pounce! After being poked in the eye by a child Stevie has a severely clouded left eye. He may regain the use of that eye in time, but even if he doesn’t it is unlikely to cause him much inconvenience, and it certainly hasn’t dampened his spirit!
They are all wormed, flee-treated, vaccinated and microchipped but they are too young to be neutered

Treacle is a lovely young cat who is our longest resident now! He was signed over in April. Treacle is a quiet cat who will need a quiet home without other pets or children. He is a little timid until he gets to know you, but is friendly and loves to play with wiggly toys and enjoys being groomed. He would enjoy a quiet home with a garden to explore, away from busy roads.
Treacle has been overlooked because of the time of year as there are lots of more appealing kittens about. We would love him him to find a home soon. He has never scratched our cat cuddlers or shown any aggression.

Tumble – 8 year old female Black Domestic Short-Haired Cat
Hello, my name is Tumble and I have been in kennels since the 5th May. I wasn’t wanted anymore. I am quite shy until I get to know you and would like to find a home with someone who is gentle and kind who will love me. I like strokes under my chin and behind my ears and will let you groom me.

Smartie – 8 year old female Black Domestic Short-Haired Cat
Hello, I am Smartie. I am being re-homed because my owner was moving house and couldn’t take me with her. I am missing my home comforts and would really like to find a nice home soon.

Biscuit is a 4 year old male Ginger and White cross Oritental Cat. Hi I’m Biscuit and I was signed over because my owner sadly passed away. I love humans but not so keen on sharing myself with other cats.
I adore being brushed as you can see from my video clip. I am quite chatty and a purr monster too! I enjoy basking in the sunshine and sitting on laps.I dissolve when you massage my ears! Cinders – 12 month old female Tabby Domestic Short-Haired Cat
Cinders female DSH approx 12 months. Cinders is ready for re-homing now having raised 3 beautiful kittens. She is the most loving, sweet natured cat.
She is no trouble at all and enjoys being stroked and brushed.A perfect companion for someone! Cinders has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and received treatment to prevent fleas and worms.
Pumpkin, Buttons and Embers – 12 week old male Black Domestic Short-Haired Cats
Pumpkin, Buttons and Embers DSH male kittens were born on the 24th March 2010 whilst in foster care.Ready for re-homing now. (Their mother Cinders is featured separately).They all have wonderful personalities. Embers is the black and white one.
They are very friendly and play gently so would be suitable for a family with older children. They enjoy snuggling up at night time and do not disturb you when you are sleeping! None of them have been destructive as they have lots of toys and a scratching post to climb! Pumpkin and Buttons in our opinion are the most suited pair and we would like these to go together. Embers can be re-homed on his own if someone is looking for a single kitten or could be re-homed with his mum, Cinders. We shall pay for the neutering costs, vaccinations, microchipping and flea/worm prevention.
Whisky – 5 year old male Black Domestic Short-Haired Cat
When a sick Whisky was taken to the vets, his owners were unable to meet the vet’s bill; so they decided to have him put to sleep. The clinic contacted Anim-Mates and now he is in rescue. Whisky’s medical problems have all been sorted out and he is doing very well. Whisky is a friendly 5-year-old boy who has a good appetite and lovely nature. Whisky is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
