Joshua – 9 year old male Tabby Domestic Short-Haired Cat

RSPCA Altrincham Cheshire Branch June 16, 2020

Joshua is a 9 year old male Tabby Domestic Short-Haired Cat. He is an elderly gent who is looking for a quiet new home with the time and patience to earn his trust, preferably with experienced cat owners. He’s at least 9 years old and maybe more. He came to us after being a stray for at least a year. He had a huge abscess on his back probably due to a cat fight.

GREAT NEWS! This Cat Has Now Been Rehomed
Thanks to good people like yourself who use Cat Adoption UK on a daily basis, this cat has now found a new, permanent loving home. There are more cats still looking though…

  • Cleo – 6 year old female Tortoiseshell Domestic Short-Haired Cat
  • Rainbow – 11 week old female Black Domestic Short-Haired Cat
  • Dusty Springfield – 13 year old female Tortoiseshell Domestic Long-Haired Cat
  • Misty – 8-9 year old female Tabby and White Domestic Short-Haired Cat

This was treated by the vet and he’s made an excellent recovery. He’s not a cuddly cat. He enjoys a few strokes on his head and ears but will let you know quite soon that he’s had enough by swiping with his paw and biting.

Hopefully over time this would stop happening. He would be suitable for an understanding home without young children, dogs or other cats. He does play with his toys, enjoys exploring the house and loves his food.

He would be happy with access to a safe, secure outside area but we don’t know if he is a wanderer with him being found as a stray. He is neutered and microchipped and his second vaccination is due soon.
