Basil – 5 year old male Tabby Domestic Short-Haired Cat

Basil is a very sore tabby cat around 5 years old. He came in and was very grumpy with sore eyes. The vet gave eye drops to use but it was soon clear that Basil’s eyes needed more attention. He has now been operated on and was found to have inturned eye lids.

No wonder the poor boy was so grumpy with us. He’s now calm, enjoys affection but a little withdrawn as he still clearly isn’t himself whilst wearing his horrible lampshade and still having very poorly eyelids. The lad makes you want to cry as you can clearly see that he’s practically blind at the moment.

His eyes were totally closed when he arrived so he’d been an unwanted blind stray left wandering around. It breaks your heart to think what a terrible time he has had. He still has some way to go before he is fully recovered but Basil can be reserved ready to be rehomed as soon as he is well enough.
