Eddie – 17-18 year old male Black Domestic Short-Haired Cat

Furry Friends Animal Rescue Surrey September 8, 2009

Eddie is approximately 17-18 years old. He was taken in yesterday (23/08/09) after being found dumped and was handed into us by a well known animal charity. He is a typical old boy and likes his space, but enjoys a fuss on his terms. He was found with polyps in his ears which were removed and he is just finishing a course of antibiotics because of these. Although he is microchipped the phone number is unobtainable. He also did have fleas which were treated and he had to be wormed.

GREAT NEWS! This Cat Has Now Been Rehomed
Thanks to good people like yourself who use Cat Adoption UK on a daily basis, this cat has now found a new, permanent loving home. There are more cats still looking though…

His blood test results came back as good for a cat of his age. This means he has no obvious kidney/liver problems. He has got a vet check tomorrow because he has some sort of growth on his backend plus he needs his first vaccinations. He is very clean in the home, but would suit a family with no dogs or young children. He tolerates other cats, but not if they bother him! Eddie was due to be put to sleep today because he is elderly and unlikely to find a home…we are hoping to prove this theory wrong.
