Zinnie – 3 1/2 year old female Tortoiseshell Domestic Short-Haired Cat

Hi my name is Zinnie and I’m a sweet 3 ½ year old tortoiseshell female and  I was recently returned to The Mayhew after my owner decided  they didn’t want me anymore. I was very stressed at the home especially as a fox came through my cat-flap and started eating my food one evening! I started spraying around the house and unfortunately rather than working through the problem with me my family decided they didn’t want me anymore.

I’m a sweet girl but can be a bit shy at first. It doesn’t take long for me to familiarise myself with new people and I soon will be demanding attention from you, sometimes giving you a little nip to get it (but I don’t mean any harm!). I don’t like other cats although I have lived with a dog before which I got on fine with. Because of my stressful experience, unless the dog was extremely docile and used to cats, I would prefer to rule to roost and be the only animal in the household.
